Day 4-To Olite

We spent the first 2 hours driving around Barcelona looking for more of Gaudi’s houses. The traffic is a bit crazy but I love driving in it. There are 3 times as many motorcycles and scooters than cars. It is really the way to get around and you can always park on the sidewalk. Taking photos of the houses is tough. There are tour buses around every one of them. It took forever to get out of town. The town is huge.

We spent until about 4pm driving to Olite. It is a small town about 200 miles northwest of Barcelona. It is out in the country. This part of Spain is mostly flat and brown. It looks like northern Nevada.

The town our Parador is in is like going back 500 years. The castle was built in the 1400s. It is now wine country. I attached some photos of the castle and the view from our balcony.
